Mrs. Nancy (Mrs. Hong Do) – CEO of Global Mekong Group recently participated in the “Social Impact Pathway Inclusive Agriculture” program, an initiative aimed at fostering inclusive and sustainable agricultural practices in Vietnam. The program, running from October to December 2024, provided training to enhance inclusive business knowledge and skills for 43 enterprises and 32 business support organizations.
On December 22, 2024, the program culminated in a Demo Day event in Ho Chi Minh City, bringing together over 100 representatives from government agencies, international organizations, businesses, investment funds, and experts within the inclusive business ecosystem. During this event, 11 inclusive businesses and 8 support organizations were recognized for their outstanding efforts and achievements. Notably, Global Mekong Group received an IB Business “B” Rating, showcasing its significant progress and potential in implementing inclusive and sustainable business practices within the agriculture sector.
Ms. Trinh Thi Huong, Deputy Director of the Enterprise Development Agency under the Ministry of Planning and Investment, emphasized the significance of inclusive business models in agriculture as a foundation for poverty reduction and improved quality of life, contributing to sustainable development goals. Mr. Ishraq Fazal, representing the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), expressed pride in supporting Vietnamese enterprises in adopting inclusive business models and looked forward to future collaborations promoting sustainable development in the region.
Through its participation, Global Mekong Group reaffirms its dedication to advancing inclusive and sustainable agricultural practices, aligning with its core values of collaboration, development, and happiness within a green environment.
